Job Description
Are you a passionate HLTA with EAL specialism or an EAL teacher looking to make a change? Flourish Education are recruiting a secondary HLTA/ EAL teacher to start in July for Maternity cover for up to one academic year
Responsibilities for the EAL Teacher/ HLTA role
This Ofstead “Good” rated school are looking for a HLTA EAL specialist to join their vibrant SEND department to undertake the following responsibilities:
Acting as a lead practitioner for EAL working under the direction of the AHT SENDCo.
Leading EAL withdrawal lessons.
Managing EAL resources (Flash Academy)
Developing EAL provision
Assessing language acquisitions
Maintaining the Provision Map for EAL
Supporting the whole school Lexia Programme
Providing CPD for TA's
Required skills and experience for the EAL Teacher/ HLTA role
Experience in teaching EAL in KS3 and KS4 (Key stage 3and 4).
Must have the relevant qualification: HLTA or QTS / ECT's (formerly NQTs) are encouraged to apply.
Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication skills.
Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
Previous EAL Teacher/support experience.
Working as an EAL Teacher/ HLTA for Flourish Education offers you excellent benefits, including:
Competitive salary- Day rate of £100 to £150 (dependant on experience) which equates to £19,500 to £29,000 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
The option of PAYE or Umbrella
Holiday Pay - for PAYE candidates you accrue this at 14.36% of your day rate
