The starting salary for primary school jobs is around £19,600. Besides, further education jobs allow opportunities for unqualified teachers, to earn £19,258 to £22,825 annually. A qualified teacher can earn between £24,202 and £36,524.
The starting salary for newly qualified teachers is currently at least £22,917, rising to £28,660 in inner London. This is broadly comparable to the mean starting pay for all graduates who left university and entered the workforce in 2017, which was around £23,000, according to the Higher Education Statistics Agency.
