Job Title: HLTA

Location: South Liverpool

Are you an experienced and dedicated individual with a passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact in a primary school setting? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HLTA to join our dynamic team at a primary school in South Liverpool.

Role Overview: As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to enhance the educational experience of our students. You will have the opportunity to lead small group interventions, support classroom teaching, and contribute to the overall development of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead small group interventions to support students' academic progress and achievement, particularly in key areas such as literacy and numeracy.
  • Support classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Assist with the assessment of student progress and the monitoring of attainment and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote positive behaviour and well-being among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love for learning.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting, with a minimum of two years' experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role.
  • Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of young learners.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
