KS2 Teaching Assistant- Salford

Tradewind Manchester are recruiting! Are you an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in a successful school in Salford?

Tradewind Manchester are assisting a wonderful Salford based Primary School in recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time role with an ASAP start, then following an initial period working on a temporary basis this role could become permanent and you may be offered a school contract.

The school is seeking an experienced and dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support and maintain pupil behaviour in a KS2 class. The role will involve general TA duties which include assisting the class teacher, 1:1 intervention work and taking group sessions with students to support learning. To be considered for this position you must have strong interpersonal skills; be dedicated to maintaining high standards of behaviour and take initiative in your role.

To join us and be successful in this KS2 TA role, you will need to:

  • Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant bachelor's degree.
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK

This role will include:

Supporting pupil learning in 1:1 interventions.

Group work

Maintaining behaviour

Assisting the class teacher

Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care.

Supporting the school team to provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for students to learn.
