Spinwell is recruiting for a Youth Justice Decision Maker for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.



RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE YOUTH JUSTICE DECISION MAKER



Make consistent disposal decisions for young offenders in line with relevant legislation, fulfilling the statutory requirement for Police & Partner Agencies to divert them where possible from entering the Criminal Justice System.





SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE YOUTH JUSTICE DECISION MAKER




  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbally) with internal and external stakeholders at all levels both verbally and in writing and to contribute effectively to multi-agency meetings.

  • ICT literate including use of Word Excel and PowerPoint, and willingness to learn new systems as required.

  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team member within a shared service and multiagency environment, and under minimum supervision.

  • Proven ability to work on own initiative, prioritising and organising own workload, problem solving as appropriate and meeting targets with minimal direct supervision with a proven record of delivering results.

  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills, resilience and ability to adapt communication style appropriately

  • Proven commitment to continual professional development. Willingness to learn relevant Youth Justice guidance and procedures
