Year 6 SEN Tutor - St. Helens
Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an experienced SEN tutor or teacher to provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 student with Global Learning Delay, who is non-verbal.
The tutor will have awareness of delivering a sensory curriculum and non-verbal communications.
The successful candidate should be able to offer between 5-10 hours of support, in split sessions over the school week.
Working as a Tutor through Prospero, you will be a vital part of student development and so the ideal candidate will have a patient and empathetic attitude.
Position details:
Location - St. Helens
Position - SEN Tutor
Year 10 - Maths and English
Duration - Ongoing
Hours - 5 hours p/w with the intent to increase to 10 hours upon review
Experience, Training and Qualification:
QTS / QTLS / PGCE / EYTS or equivalent
2 years experience working in a UK school
Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent Awareness training is desirable but not essential
Previous experience working with SEN
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
