Are you passionate about inspiring every young learner to achieve their potential? Tradewind are recruiting for a KS2 teacher to make an impact from September in a wonderful nurturing school in Stockport!

Tradewind would like to present you with a truly exceptional opportunity to play a key role in shaping the provision of primary education and lifelong learning prospects within the KS2. This Year 5 position will commence September 2024 initially on a 1-year fixed term contract but the potential to be extended depending on your success in the role. The school, based in Hazel Grove, will provide a generous salary of up to £210 per day which will reflect your previous experience and look to appoint qualified, imaginative and driven teacher who works with equal efficacy independently and as part of a team.

With a focus on growth-mindest, the school aims to equip pupils with the key attitudes and skills which will allow them to meet new challenges with optimism and resilience. The school provides a continuous learning journey for children from three to eleven years old and as a result of high expectations, children make good progress and achieve well.

About the Role

As the Year 5 teacher, you will be responsible for the progress and development of approximately 30 pupils with a smaller than average percent of SEND and EAL in the class.

  • Know the legal requirements, national policy and guidance on the safeguarding of children.

To be successful in this Year 5 teaching role:

  • You must hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
