KS2 Teacher - Outstanding School
Wayman Education is working with a vibrant and fun primary school based in Newham seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent KS2 teacher is required from September 2024.
This fantastic primary school is searching for an outstanding KS2 teacher who can start in September. This is a significant position within the school, and the successful applicant will join the school's extended leadership team. Strong communication and analytical abilities, as well as the ability to teach a fun-loving Year 5 class beginning in September are required for this position.
Only exceptional, experienced KS2 teachers will be interviewed for this permanent full-time position.
The children are hardworking, caring, inquisitive and imaginative and the staff here aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment, as a result we are seeking a primary teacher who knows how to drive attainment and create engaging lessons.
Responsibilities of a KS2 teacher:
As a KS2 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of the children, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment
Teaching the Key stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

Requirements
Qualified teacher status (QTS)
Experience teaching primary school students, ideally in KS2
A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
Excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team
A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
Good behaviour management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
