Our small, cosy-feel school located in the heart of Edgeley, Stockport, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join our team. This full-time role is available from Easter until the end of the academic year, offering a competitive daily rate of up to £170.

About the Class

You'll be teaching a vibrant Year 4 class in our school, which boasts an average size but exceptionally well-behaved group of students. While we have a few children with additional needs, rest assured, none require EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans). Plus, to support you in providing the best education possible, you'll have a Teaching Assistant available 80% of the time. Additionally, you'll collaborate with another experienced member of staff, ensuring a supportive environment for both you and the children throughout the week.

Role Expectations:

As the Year 4 Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the class.
• Implementing formative and summative assessments to track student progress and inform future teaching strategies.
• Attending staff meetings to learn about school improvements and actively contribute to discussions.
• Participating in quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions to keep up with recent initiatives and enhance teaching practices.
• Liaising with the wider school community, including parents and external stakeholders, to foster positive relationships and support student learning.

Essetnial Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in a Year 4 setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
