Located in Milton Keynes, our partner school is committed to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment where every child can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher who is passionate about early years education and dedicated to nurturing the development of young learners. As a key member of the teaching team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons that ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and build essential skills for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver inspiring and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 2 students, ensuring progression and attainment in line with the national curriculum.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to take risks in their learning.
• Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and actively seeking to involve parents in their child's education.
• Implement effective assessment strategies to track student progress and inform future planning, providing timely feedback to support each child's individual learning journey.
• Collaborate with the wider school community to organise and participate in enrichment activities, trips, and events that enhance the curriculum and promote a love of learning.
• Support the transition of Year 2 students to Key Stage 2 by equipping them with the necessary skills and confidence for their next stage of education.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2.
• A sound understanding of the early years curriculum, phonics teaching, and the developmental needs of young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong behaviour management skills and a proactive approach to creating a positive learning environment that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in further training and learning opportunities.
