This is a hands-on role and supervisory role, reporting to the Engineering Production Manager. The role is for an experienced Technician, who can guide, develop, and assist less skilled personnel. Good communication skills are needed.The Workshop Supervisor is primarily responsible for the following:Managing the Technicians team.Assigning jobs to the team, explaining the tasks, timescales and following up on progress.Setting and installing a mindset of delivery to time, budget and quality within the Technicians team.Leading role being responsible for building test rigs for the traditional business and future business projectsHands on role assisting with build and installation tasks.Providing technical guidance to the Technician’s team.Identifying skills gaps within the team and advising of actions to improve capability.Communication of issues with the Engineering Production team and assisting in their resolution.Communication with the Engineering Production Manager to allocate resources and update on progress.Assisting Project Engineers with Technical issues.Uphold and implement safety requirements for the workshop.Communicate with other departments to meet project delivery timescales.Be actively involved with 5S, Continuous Improvement and other Operational Excellence improvements.Qualifications and ExperienceTime served Engineering apprenticeship.At least 5 years’ experience in an Engineering business.Experience of leading a team.You areLanguages (level):Fluent English required : writing technical documents and daily exchanges in English.Framatome has an international reputation for offering a large and diverse variety of career opportunities.
