My expanding Manufacturing client based in Shrewsbury manufacture and distribute site machinery, generators, pumps and pressure washer to their global client base. They are currently recruiting for a Workshop Service Engineer to join their busy team based in the workshop with occasional travel to site, this will increase as the business develops.
Duties:-
- Liaising with customers to support with service, warranty claims, repairs and refurbishment of the company’s equipment.
- Carry out fault diagnoses on all company products, engines (both diesel and petrol) and related components.
- Dismantle all types of products, engines and components, clean and prepare to the required standard ready for rebuilding.
- Assist production and carry out the mechanical building, modification, servicing and repair of the complete range of company products to customer exact specifications.
- Replace all relevant parts as appropriate to ensure products are professionally repaired and put back into running order.
- Ensure that all machine settings are correct and relevant testing is completed before machines are despatched.
- Carry out service and breakdowns within the workshop and occasional travel to site.On site work may increase as the business grows.
- Assist with the delivery and collection of customers equipment.
- Assist with any company stock takes and ensure that the hire fleet profile is correct and available.
- Have capable I.T skills to be able to administer all service and admin work.
Key Skills:-
- Ideally will have worked in a similar role previously as a service engineer.
- You will hold City & Guilds Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Equivalent or Above)
- If you have worked on generators, diesel engineers and similar this would be advantageous.
- Willing to learn and can do attitude.
The role will initially be based in Shrewsbury, with a relocation to the Wolverhampton site within 2/3 months
