A new role for a Workshop Fitter is now available in Elmbridge. You will be required to be involved in repairing a variety of plant equipment and maintain all vehicles. You will be working across 4 depots and maintain over 150 different vehicles.
Workshop Fitter Responsibilities

  • A cost effective repair is carried out within budget
  • Enusre all documentation, work orders, service sheets are completed and returned to the workshop for approval, signature and filing.
  • Ensure all tooling and equipment that's used complies with current legislation and certification
  • all aspects of Health and Safety is adhered to
  • First time repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Able to attend roadside breakdowns (desirable)

Workshop Fitter Qualifications & Licences

  • Educated to City & Guilds or NVQ level in the repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Hold a valid HGV Licence (Cat C minimum)
  • COSHH Awareness

Workshop Fitter Technical Competencies

  • Manual Handling
  • COSSH
  • Environmental awareness Tool Box talk
  • IOSH Working Safely
  • Personal Track Safety AC (PTS AC)
  • Abrasive Wheels
