Location Corby
Salary Up to £50,000 (DOE)
We are offering an excellent opportunity to work with an expanding company and one of the leading brands in Europes Fire-Fighting Protection Industry. The company is the UKs largest producer of new generation fire-fighting foams and will invest in the development and career of the right individual with the ability to support the companys growth. The company is looking for an individual who can demonstrate the skills required for future promotion to Director level.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director with responsibility for
· All product manufacturing including the full range of fire-fighting chemicals and fire engineered products
· Helping to ensure our ISO-##########5 quality management and processes are maintained and continuously improved
· Maintenance and security of site equipment and infrastructure
· Management and supervision of the manufacturing personnel with a view to have oversight of all site employees.
· Management of all operating procedures and safe working on and off site
· Working closely with administration and laboratory functions to ensure the highest levels of productivity
· Liaising with suppliers and purchasing to ensure material supplies meet production demands
· Reporting to the Managing Director on all manufacturing processes including production schedules, activity performance and efficiencies, staff training and competencies, stock levels, plant maintenance and operational safety performance.
The ideal candidate
You should have production management experience with a bias in non-hazardous chemicals or mechanical engineering. You will have exceptional communication and presentation skills and able to operate on your own initiative. In addition you should be able to demonstrate
· Demonstrate communication skills with all personnel
· Competent IT skills
· Creative problem solving and a continuous improvement mind set
· Strong ability to fault find and an understanding of root cause analysis
· Self-motivated and methodical in approach to working
· Be flexible in their attendance to meet company requirements of site product performance testing
· UK travel and overseas visits may be required from time to time
· Able to set high standards with attention to detail
