Workforce Development Lead Officer - Children's Social Care

If you are a registered social worker who has 3 years or more of working within statutory children's services and with experience in enabling social workers and social care staff to develop their skills and knowledge, then we have just the role for you within the Social Care Workforce Development Team. The Social Care Workforce Development Team works across Childrens and Adults social care, with independent and third sector organisations and statutory partners agencies to deliver a core learning and development programme as well as programmes of development to embed our practice frameworks and associated delivery models. The team is experienced, stable and well respected within the Social Services and Wellbeing Directorate.
The new post of Lead Workforce Development Officer for Children Social Care, working closely with Childrens Social Care Managers, will be responsible for identifying training and development needs within children's services and the development and delivery of a training and learning programme, which may include, face-to-face, digital and blended learning options. You will contribute to strategic developments and initiate and deliver projects focusing on improving the performance and professional development of staff across the directorate.
