Work Placement Officer

Salary up to �24,200
Pertemps are working with a well known client in the Rotherham area. As a pivotal member of the team, your role as the Work Placement Officer will spearhead the enhancement of student journeys by facilitating enriching work experience opportunities. This role involves guaranteeing that students receive exceptional placement experiences and collaborating closely with curriculum colleagues to orchestrate placement schedules and foster strong employer relationships.
Responsibilities of the Work Placement Officer:
  • Source and facilitate appropriate work experience, placements, and industry opportunities for all study program and T-Level students.
  • Ensure placements comply with regulations and are suitable for students, conducting necessary Health and Safety assessments.
  • Verify that placement providers are fully committed and capable of offering adequate supervision in a safe environment.
  • Collaborate closely with curriculum delivery teams to identify and secure high-quality placement opportunities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of all available placements in a centralised�CRM system.
  • Promote and contribute to a centralised�service for learners, offering access to information and support regarding work experience opportunities.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience of working within an educational environment and/or with young people, ideally within a Further Education/Post 16 environment
  • Responsible as part of a team of Work Placement Officers in building and contributing to a centralised database of employers, which provides information to learners on placements.
  • English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of the Health & Safety Act and HSE Standards.
  • Ability to demonstrate good customer service skills and be able to work with respect and confidentiality.
