Job Title: Work Placement Officer
Location: Rotherham (S65)
Salary: �24,249 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
Length of Contract: Permanent
Gi Group Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a Work Placement Officer to our Public Sector client based in Rotherham. The Work Placement Officer will play a leading role in developing the student journey through supporting work experience opportunities. The postholder will ensure high quality placement experiences are provided to students and will work closely with curriculum colleagues to devise a schedule of placements and build employer links.
Duties of the Work Placement Officer

  • To source and support relevant work experience, work placements, and industry placements for all study programme and T-Level students.
  • To check compliance and that placements are suitable for students, including relevant Health and Safety assessments.
  • To review all placement providers are fully committed and able to provide relevant supervision in a healthy and safe environment.
  • To work closely with the curriculum delivery teams to identify high quality work placement opportunities.
  • To contribute to a central CRM, which will hold a record of all placements available.
  • To contribute to and promote a central service for learners, where they can access information and support on work experience opportunities.

Role Criteria

  • Experience of working in a similar role, including contacting a range of employers and clients.
  • Experience of working proactively to achieve results.
  • Previous experience of working with a FE provider.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work 1974 and Health and Safety Executive standards.
  • Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent qualification.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and the ability to persuade, influence and motivate others.
  • Ability to analyse data and produce performance reports, accurate and objective approach and GDPR compliance.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people receiving education and training.
  • A passion for contributing to the wellbeing agenda to actively promote wellbeing.
