Wood Machinist

Designer Recruitment are seeking a Bench Joiner/ Wood Machinist for a bespoke interiors manufacturer in Oxfordshire.

This is a permanent position paying £30,000 - £35,000 per annum witha performance-based bonus.

Our client is a provider of precisely crafted wood components to various industries, including cabinet making, shop fitting, and construction. Services currently offered include cutting and edge banding of sheet materials, production of shaker doors, and spray finishing. Our commitment to delivering accurately processed components swiftly and reliably forms the cornerstone of our business.
About the Role:
As one of the team's Wood Machinist's, you will be a key member of the workshop team involved in every step of the production process, from material delivery and handling, production, quality control and workshop husbandry. Our Clients experienced team of joiners undertake tasks of traditional joinery including architectural products, doors, windows, custom furniture and cabinets.
Wood Machinist responsibilities:
Interpret CAD drawings to fabricate high-quality joinery products.
Utilise traditional woodworking techniques and machinery to construct items with precision.
Work collaboratively with a team of skilled craftsmen to achieve project goals.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the production process.
Wood Machinist requirements:
Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or Wood Machinist in a similar role
Expertise in working with solid wood and wood veneers, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
