AFC Fylde is seeking a General Manager to lead, oversee, and, through the Women’s Team Manager, ensure the required standard of management and coaching of AFC Fylde’s Women’s football team. This part time role is an essential part of the Club’s aspiration for promotion to the highest level of the Women’s game.The General Manager will be responsible for establishing and implementing a strategic plan to deliver success for the club and Women’s team - on and off the pitch.Main Duties Responsible for all aspects of the financial management of the Women’s team. In conjunction with AFC Fylde’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Director of Football (DoF), to agree player budgets.
Help to produce the club’s annual business plan and agree player budgets in conjunction with AFC Fylde’s COO and DoF. Help recruit staff – volunteers, part-time or full-time to meet operating requirements. Manage and deliver work plans, in particular for matchdays. Attend all meetings of the FA and Women’s National League liaising, including AGM and League promotion meetings. Oversee the liaisons with the Women’s National League and the FA to ensure the club meets licensing requirements for promotion, whilst building positive relations with said bodies and international staff. Help develop initiatives to increase commercial revenues and sponsorship.
Develop and maintain communications strategy including social media platforms. Ensure the club website is always up to date with online ticketing and merchandise sales. Work with outside sources to raise player profiles across the community and identify potential fundraising opportunities.
Be responsible for ensuring all Safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered to. Work closely with the First Team Manager to ensure clear communication lines, common goals and standards are agreed. Sign off all staff wages in line with budgets on a monthly basis. Oversee all aspects of the matchday operations.
Ensure the home match day experience is successful. Check health and safety action plans, ensuring all equipment is monitored, checked and replenished on a regular basis, working with the Women’s Team Manager and the medical team to ensure all equipment is available and in place. Essential Demonstrated management experience, preferably in the sporting context
Experienced leader able to work to their own initiative with proven experience leading and building teams
Capable of working effectively within strict deadlines and in a fast paced environment Experienced budget holder
