Job Title: Wireless Telemetry EngineerLocation: CroydonSalary: £60,000Start Date: 10/06/2024Job Type: PermanentJob Responsibilities/ObjectivesYou will support the designing and development of a new telemetry system including components such as data loggers and telemetry radios throughout the testing phase with a high level of input into the system design, field validation and deploymentYou will work with the other engineering and operational teams providing field support to ensure the telemetry systems meet the team's performance and reliability requirements, including assisting in the installing, commissioning, and operating the telemetry systems at events.You will maintain and support both the current telemetry system and the new system including troubleshooting etcYou will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve telemetry system problems, including monitoring and analysing telemetry data to identify performance issues and areas for improvement.Required Skills/ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have the following:Working with networking and serial protocols (e.g., Ethernet, CAN, RS232); video encoding (e.g., H264) and transmission protocols (e.g., MPEG-TS); and RF systemsExperience with electronics hardware and software and design principlesDeveloping Linux kernel drivers or for an RTOSExperience with data acquisition and analysis softwareKey areas of relevant skills include Python, C and LinuxIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply now with your updated CV in Microsoft Word/PDF format.DisclaimerNotwithstanding any guidelines given to level of experience sought, we will consider candidates from outside this range if they can demonstrate the necessary competencies.Square One is acting as both an employment agency and an employment business, and is an equal opportunities recruitment business.
