Welfare Support Officer : Staffordshire

We are seeking for a Welfare Support Officer/Housing officer/ RLO to join our team.

This is an exciting position that works exclusively to support Asylum seekers going through their right to work Asylum application process with the home office.

Here are the details of the position:

Job title: Housing Officer

Location: ST15, Staffordshire

Type: Contract

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Duration: 12 months initially, with guaranteed permanent position
• Working Hours: 40 hours per week
• Full UK manual driving license
• DBS needed before start (we will pay for it)
• Must Drive and have own car
• Payrate: �15.58 PAYE- �19.98/ hr Umbrella plus Holiday Pay �1.88/hr

Main duties: We are Currently looking for Welfare/ housing officers for a 6 month project

this is working with Asylum seekers currently in Temp accommodation moving into prem stock.

This is a government contract for an ASAP start.

Role Criteria:

• Experience of working with vulnerable and diverse client groups is essential
• Experience and understanding of safeguarding is essential
• Ability to identify individuals and family need and recognise the required support packages to maintain independence
• Experience working with mental health and or challenging behaviour is essential
• To communicate effectively with colleagues, local authorities, and service users
• Experience with record keeping and creating risk assessments.
