Welding Engineer

Major Recruitment are searching for a Welding Engineer for our client based in Sunderland. This vacancy is full-time and permanent for the right candidate.

Duties include:

• Conducting inspections at various production stages
• Ensuring products are manufactured correctly, meeting specifications, and to company standards and procedures
• Supporting making improvements to inspection and auditing processes across the company
• Inspecting welds, materials, dimensions and painting processes
• Working with the team and independently to support the business

Hours of work and pay rate:

• Monday to Friday
• 8 hour day shifts, flexible hours
• �45,000 per year

Successful candidates must have the following:

• Knowledge of quality and welding management systems ISO9001 and ISO3834
• Proficiency in welder monitoring, distortion control and weld sequences/ SOP
• Knowledge of welding processes, MAG essential

This position also requires travel within the UK and Europe for a few weeks per year.
