This is a rolling 12-month contract outside IR35
Welding Engineer / Inspector
responsibilities include:
Provide independent inspection and quality control services relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction.
Equipment includes pressure / piping equipment and other mechanical / electrical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations.
Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
Welding Engineer / Inspector
profile:
An experienced Welding Engineer / Inspector, ideally min 10yrs background as a Welding Engineer & 5yrs in equipment inspections (including NDT & material control)
C&G Cert / or equivalent experience in Fabrication & Welding and/or HNC/BTEC in engineering discipline.
CSWIP 3.1/3.2PCN
Must have PCN Ultrasonic Testing Level II
Radiographic Interpretation Levell II
PCN Liquid Penetrant Inspection Level II
Sound understanding in Materials, Welding and NDE techniques.
Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries.
Ability to work successfully in a team, providing guidance, support and training as and when necessary.
