My client is a leading supplier of essential equipment to Construction, Utilities and Events industries, and they now have an exciting opportunity to join their award-winning team as Web Developer based from their site near Bedford.

This position is a permanent, full-time office-based position, within a busy but relaxed atmosphere. We are looking for applicants who will have good ‘proof reading’ skills including spelling and grammar; analytical thinking, with excellent problem solving and troubleshooting knowledge, of SEO principles and monitoring website Analytics, also a strong understanding of the following;

* Content Managed Systems using WordPress and OpenCart eCommerce platforms to create and code product webpages for the online shop, plus to maintain and develop our businesses’ websites.

Both platforms require front end knowledge and backend experience using the cPanel file system.

Position Responsibilities

* Create and modify product pages and other website content;

* Develop and maintain product listings on multiple websites;

* Troubleshoot, stay up to date and resolve any website issues;

* Maintain and create custom plugins, widgets, and themes;

* Optimize website’s performance and usability for desktop and mobile devices, using best practices in UX and UI

Requirements:

* Proven experience with WordPress and OpenCart

* Efficient and clean coding with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

* Work and help within the marketing team to liaise with suppliers and the sales teams to gather information about products and services

Therefore if you have had experience working in the following;

* Content Managed System (WordPress), eCommerce system (WooCommerce and OpenCart), cPanel, Web Service Provider (like GoDaddy for backups/config files), multi-browser tools (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari), Word, Excel, and HubSpot;

* Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Merchant, Google Tag Manager, Google Business Manager (for company search profile), Bing and other search engines for results, SEO research (tools like SEMRush), Google Page Speed and Google Search Console (for Health and Speed of website), Google Developer and Google Cloud (for other Google solutions on the web), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premiere.

Due to the location(s) you will require a full driving licence; and successful applicants will be required to attend interviews.
