OverviewWe are currently recruiting for a Water Treatment Engineer on behalf of a bespoke mechanical engineering company who manage the complete mechanical engineering process including design, manufacture and commissioning.Operating over 35 years, they are a family owned organisation who have gained a reputable name within the industry for their high-quality work and excellent customer service.They have a client base which boasts some of the biggest names in the engineering sector. Mainly working within the Waste Water and Clean Water industries they provide a range of services including surveying through to design, fabrication, installation and implementation.As the Water Treatment Engineer, you will be required to service, install, commission and maintain water treatment equipment on site. You will be expected to deliver first class service in a safe and sustainable manner and ensure timely site attendance and follow up reporting to support the Customer.This is a permanent position covering the South Coast, Working Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. Perks include Van & Fuel Card, overtime, pension, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, training & development etc.Responsibilities
* Service/maintenance and installation work.
* Communicate daily with the Manager providing job updates including issues, remedial works and follow up duty of care plan where required.
* Work to tight time schedules and deadlines making sure all are met to the highest standard.
* Work closely with specialist sub-contractors.
* Working to Health & Safety Practice.
* Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.Skills & Attributes
* Technical knowledge of maintaining Water Treatment systems.
* Experience working in a similar position.
* Ability to fault find, diagnose and resolve technical issues.
* Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
* Good customer service skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
* Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
