Warehouse Team Leader

We are supporting this rappidly expanding Organisation to find a Team Leader for a new distribution centre located just outside of Sheffield.  From a modern state of the art building, this brand new role will be overseeing a new professional team of warehouse personnnel.

The Company distributes scientific equipment and bio goods to many different countries and has an excellent reputation for the high standards of customer care.

This role seeks a Warehouse professional that has already gained man management experience as you will need to be able to hit the ground running!  

You will be managing a team, initially around 5 personnel and supporting them in ensuring that processes and systems are adhered to in order for goods to be received and dispatched in a timely manner and that the productivity targets are met by each individual and as a team.

The role will be to ensure that each team member is fully trained and cross trained in all systems they need to use and have all the equipment required in order to excel at their roles.

From brief team meetings to ensure that priorities are agreed and met each day you will lead the team in a busy environment where multi tasking will be the norm!

In order to successfully secure this role you will have a proven background in leading a team, have excellent knowledge of QHSE and a good systems knowledge in order to oversee the work carried out within this new distribution centre.

You will be involved in the liaison between the customer service and sales teams in order to ensure that goods are dispatched in a timely manner and that if there are any delays they are reported to the customer

Running a smooth warehouse environment ensuring that goods are received, checked for damages and allocated into the warehouse quickly and efficiently.   Picking and packing is done with care and speed in order to get the goods to clients in a timely manner

Keeping the warehouse in a tidy and effective manner to ensure that all QHSE requirements are met.

Currently the hours are 40 per week working Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.  However, this could be subject to a slight change.  However, the start time will remain of 8am start.

In return you will received a competitive basic salary between 32K and 35K dependent upon what skills and experieince you bring with you and also 25 days holiday and the Bank Holidays along with a Health Plan and contributory pension scheme.
