We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader for our client - a dynamic company committed to excellence in logistics and customer service. As part of their expansion, our client is seeking a motivated Warehouse Team Leader to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our warehouse operations and ensure the highest standards of service delivery.

The Role:

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will work closely with the Supervisor to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include managing and motivating staff, coordinating goods flow, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. Additionally, you will play a key role in optimizing our delivery operations to achieve world-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Assume responsibility for daily warehousing operations
  • Organize the team according to workload requirements
  • Prepare WMS for product reception, dispatch, returns, and inventory management
  • Monitor shift progress and report on performance weekly
  • Plan and manage staff rotas in collaboration with the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
  • Act as a deputy for the Supervisor when necessary
  • Lead by example and set expectations for the team
  • Provide coaching and identify training needs
  • Conduct regular review meetings with the team
  • Maintain high productivity levels and ensure adherence to company procedures
  • Foster an environment of organization, cleanliness, and product care

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in a logistics environment and using Warehouse Management Systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Proficiency in organization and time management
  • Flexible and able to work under tight deadlines
  • Capable of meeting demanding KPIs in a service-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
