Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking an experienced Goods in and Dispatch Supervisor to join a leading manufacturing client on a permanent basis located the Walsall area.
The Goods In Dispatch Supervisor is a key role responsible for overseeing a team of Logistics workers, ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of the Goods In and Dispatch area. This leadership position requires a detail-oriented professional with robust leadership skills and an in-depth understanding of Logistics processes. The mission for this role is to ensure all parts are received, transactions completed, and items put away in a timely manner.

Duties:
- Working towards performance targets
- Liasing with other departments / members of staff – H&S, Production, Managers, Purchasing Team
- Raising any concerns H&S concerns, Carry out full Investigations and provide clear accurate responses to Customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Conduct structured morning meetings and further daily communication with the team to ensure clear communication of targets and objectives
- Build and maintain direct relationships with customers and suppliers, providing clear communication on all aspects of day-to-day operations
- Supervision of all Forklift Operations
- Booking of parts immediately into location and locating items as quickly as possible
- Responsible for cost effectively Booking and arranging transport and monitoring subsequent costs
- Develop a visual plan for the team aligned with the work-to-list, outlining expectations for each team member
- Manage the sales order returns process ensuring parts are booked in punctually and issued to the customer after completion of repair
- Ensure the necessary stock levels of packaging are available in the dispatch area
- Keep customers and systems fully updated on any delays and expected planned dates
- Identifying any onboarding, training, refresher or development plans for members of staff
Hours of work:
- 07:45 – 16:45 (Monday – Thursday)
- 07:45 – 11:45 (Friday)
Salary:
