Salary �32, 000, Bristol BS30 8TY, BS31, 30 days holiday, Pension and parking working Monday to Friday 45 hour week , core hours 7.00 - 17.00

Our client operates with a friendly team where you will be an integral part of the logistics and distribution area, supervising a small team. The warehouse supervisor, warehouse team leader, logistics supervisor will be managing your own workload reporting to the operations manager.

The warehouse supervisor, warehouse team leader, logistics supervisor role involves

• Strategic optimisation for efficient operation of the warehouse and daily delivery routes to meet customer expectations.

• Work with and liaising with the sales team to meet changing deadlines and problem solving these situations.

• Responsible for the best utilisation of the vehicles and arranging cover in the event of driver or warehouse staff absence.

• Responsible for all deliveries throughout the day and dealing with any related queries.

• Assistance and engagement in OTIF (On Time In Full) Management

• Management and safe storage of all goods in & out as identified on the delivery schedule.

• To work in conjunction with the QMS Lead to ensure proactive compliance in all areas including fleet and licence fulfilment.

• Responsible to ensure any vehicle breakdowns are dealt with efficiently and respond to vehicle maintenance requests and schedules.

• Provide assistance in the one-off and regular assessment of driving staff to ensure suitability.

• Responsible to carry out regular checks on individuals standard of work and performance.

• Manage, train and develop colleagues within the department as necessary.

• Key holder responsible for the security of the building to include opening & locking up and inclusion on the alarm response list

• Attendance at all internal and external meetings as instructed by manager as well as any training needs identified.

• To set, run and chair regular team meetings to provide a forum for H&S concerns and to discuss issues that arise.

The warehouse supervisor, warehouse team leader, logistics supervisor role would suit candidates who have worked in warehousing and distribution environments from any field and be familiar with route planning, logistics and general warehousing as well as supervisory experience in leading a small team.
