Warehouse Operative

We currently have the fantastic opportunity, working exclusively with a hugely successful business based in Ellesmere Port.
The role will see you working within the warehouse in order to arrange goods in and out, ensuring the warehouse is maintained and stock levels controlled.
Shifts: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
Salary: 23,795.20 per annum
Job Description
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.
• Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
• Taking goods to the appropriate storage space
• Keeping a careful record of stock so that it can be located quickly.
• Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely and labelled correctly and safely.
• Picking orders from the storage space and bringing them for packing, or to the loading bay for transportation.
• Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles.
• Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse.
• Picking and packing orders ready for shipment according to daily plan.
Essential Skills
• Manual handling and lifting skills.
• Ability to accurately pick orders correctly according to schedule.
• Ability to work well with others amongst a team.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility in daily responsibilities to meet demand.
• To assist in other duties in order to maintain order fulfilment on time.
• Ability to multi-task to maintain accurate picks, and keep waste and damage to a minimum.
Desirable
• FLT (Reach & Counterbalance) experience or licences, although in house training and licences will be provided.
• Driving licence for occasional assistance in deliveries if required.
• Previous experience working in a fast paced environment.
