Surrey commutable from Staines, Slough, Bracknell, Weybridge, Acton, Chessington Excellent salary + car allowance + benefits Are you an experienced manager of warehouse operations looking for a fresh challenge? MVP is partnering with an award-winning, innovative business to recruit a Warehouse Manager for a small but busy storage and distribution site in Surrey. In this role, you ll proactively manage all warehouse operations at the site, providing effective leadership and ensuring your teams are engaged and empowered to deliver an effective, compliant and cost-focused operation. This role will be right for you if you re someone who is passionate about continually developing and improving the operations under your control. Key responsibilities:
People Managementdevelop your direct reports and teams by recruiting, training, coaching and mentoring to deliver outstanding results Operationscost-effectively manage day-to-day warehouse operations; oversee and make changes to the daily plan in line with changing demands. Deliver on strategic plans. Health & SafetyLead and develop a culture of best-in-class Health & Safety practice across the warehouse operation. Financial Reporting creation of weekly P&L accounts Site Systems& Processesdesign efficient systems for inventory management, product handling, storage, receiving and equipment utilisation.
Reporting - produce KPI and financial data reports
Experience & skills required:
Significant previousexperience of managing fast-paced warehouse operations (FMCG, retail, food etc) Able to demonstrate real achievements in managing, engaging and developing people you ll need excellent motivational capabilities.
Strong organisational, time management and planning abilities. Health & Safety ability to lead and develop a culture of safety awareness among staff. IOSH qualification preferred. Commercially-focused with previous knowledge of budget management and strong financial acumen. Previous experience and knowledge of WMS systems. Excellent IT skills and analytical abilities Ideally - previous experience of project management An understanding of lean management and continuous improvement
