Warehouse Manager

Global Manufacturing Company are looking for a highly organised and skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee and manage their fast-paced world class manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and efficient management of inventory, movement of stock, ensuring timely delivery of products, and optimising warehouse processes. Strong knowledge of Logistics, JIT (just in time), experience in direct line management, KPI-driven mindset, and expertise in ERP are essential for this role. You will be driving your team whilst incorporating strong Continuous Improvement skills & Lean Principles from a Logisitics Role: Warehouse Manager Salary: up to 53,000 per annum + benefits + pensions Location: WolverhamptonResponsibilities for Warehouse Manager:Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.Ensure inventory accuracy by implementing and maintaining effective stock control procedures, performing regular cycle counts, and reconciling any discrepancies.Supervise and provide direct line management to warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary.Optimize warehouse layout and processes to ensure efficient space utilization, ease of access, and timely order fulfillment.Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and systematic execution of warehouse activities.Collaborate with cross-functional departments, such as production, procurement, and customer service, to coordinate order fulfillment and resolve any operational issues.Utilise KPIs and other performance metrics to monitor and drive continuous improvement in warehouse productivity, accuracy, and overall performance.Maintain a safe and secure warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with company policies, occupational health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff on best practices, safety standards. Qualifications for Warehouse Manager:Strong knowledge in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Proven experience of 5+ years in warehouse management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge and experience in Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory management principles.Solid experience in direct line management, including coaching, training, and performance management.Proficient in using ERP/MRP Systems (Ideally SAP) Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and meet KPI targets.Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations and procedures.Forklift certification and experience in operating other warehouse equipment is a plus.The Warehouse Manager is currently a really important role for the business at present and you will play a key part in the running of a very busy Warehouse Operation.
