Do you have Warehouse experience and are looking for the next step in your career?Our client, a successful and expanding business, are looking for a self-motivated leader to join their friendly team as a Warehouse Manager.The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a warehouse team and should possess strong people and team work skills, alongside an organised approach to tasks and responsibilities.This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with warehouse experience to further their career within a supportive and growing business.Responsibilities as a Warehouse ManagerSupervise warehouse teamRecruit, train and motivate warehouse staffProblem solvingIdentify priorities, plan and allocate work to staffLiaise with Managing Director, Office Manager, Purchasing and other departmentsEnsure all tasks are completed according to the Company's proceduresDecide on storage locations for productsParticipate in monthly Operations meetingsReview Works Orders daily and ensure required dates are achievedConduct daily & monthly meetings with your teamConduct annual appraisals of your teamOversee inspection of goods following completion of works orderEnsure staff work safely and any H&S issues are raised with management as soon as possible.Ensure all mechanical handling equipment is kept in good and safe working order & ensure maintenance logs are updated as required.Ensure all staff are adequately cross trained in all aspects of the warehouse and maintain training matrixChallenge working processes & actively seek new ideasCarry out all tasks relating to the warehouse including cover for any absent personMaintain high standards of housekeepingJob Title: Warehouse ManagerLocation: PortsladeSalary:
