Our client is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their team!They are the expert providers of sound, light, and visual equipment to the broadcast, event, and conference industries. With over 30 years of experience in the AV sector, they go beyond just providing equipment. They supply some of the industry's leading engineers to work alongside their state of the art equipment. Purpose of RoleTo manage all aspects of the warehouse and staff working within this area. To ensure all equipment is stored correctly and all event preps and check backs are carried out to the required standard. Ensure a high level of Health & Safety is maintained at all times. Applicant must have a 'can do' positive attitude.Key ResponsibilitiesTo manage the general warehouse activities and be responsible for ensuring that the warehouse team are working effectively on a day-to-day basis. Manage all staff and their performance including timekeeping work ethic and Health & Safety.Undertake periodic performance review and associated tasks for warehouse team.Maintain constant communication with the other Heads of Department, Project Managers, General Manager and Managing Director.To manage and be responsible for all general hire, conference events and broadcast hires to ensure that the correct kit is prepped, checked and loaded onto the relevant vehicle at the correct time.To ensure that all kit is tested to ensure it is in working order, by the warehouse staff (as required) as part of the prep of the equipment prior to hire.To ensure that all electrical kit is PAT tested by the approved staff and within due date prior to hire.Responsible for maintaining standards throughout the warehouse area ensuring all required work is completed to a satisfactory level and high standards of housekeeping is maintained before releasing staff to go home every day.Ensure all Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices are delivered through Toolbox talks and adhered to at all times.Ensure a weekend handover is completed each Friday afternoon in conjunction with Project Managers and staff on shift.Manage the absence management process.To manage the standards and performance of the fleet of vehicles ensuring the specified checks are carried out as detailed with the Standard Operating Procedures.Any other tasks and duties that are to be considered as reasonable to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the business.Hours of Work - Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 (subject to business and industry requirements)Weekend working based on a scheduled cycle of 1 in 7 (with day off in lieu)£35,000 to £45,000 dependant on experienceMust have experience of working in a supervisory role in a warehouse within the Audio Visual industry.Benefits:Company pensionCycle to work schemeDiscounted or free foodFree parkingOn-site parkingExperience:Warehouse Management: 1 year (preferred)Audio/Visual Warehouse: 1 year (required)Warehouse Supervision: 1 year (preferred)
