We are seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our clients team in the bespoke furniture industry. As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse facilities, ensuring all furniture items are received, stored, and dispatched in a timely and organized manner. Your excellent organisational and leadership skills will be essential in managing inventory, training and supervising staff, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and optimal productivity.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of furniture items, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Train, supervise, and motivate warehouse staff, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and meet performance targets.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, identifying opportunities to improve stock control and minimise losses.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and purchasing, to forecast and fulfill furniture orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely delivery of furniture items.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management/supervisory.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and best practices.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and inventory software (ERP).
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift furniture items.
