Warehouse Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a warehouse team and should possess strong people and team work skills, alongside an organised approach to tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities as a Warehouse Manager

• Supervise warehouse team
• Recruit, train and motivate warehouse staff
• Problem solving
• Identify priorities, plan and allocate work to staff
• Liaise with Managing Director, Office Manager, Purchasing and other departments
• Ensure all tasks are completed according to the Company's procedures
• Decide on storage locations for products
• Participate in monthly Operations meetings
• Review Works Orders daily and ensure required dates are achieved
• Conduct daily & monthly meetings with your team
• Conduct annual appraisals of your team
• Oversee inspection of goods following completion of works order
• Ensure staff work safely and any H&S issues are raised with management as soon as possible.
• Ensure all mechanical handling equipment is kept in good and safe working order & ensure maintenance logs are updated as required.
• Ensure all staff are adequately cross trained in all aspects of the warehouse and maintain training matrix
• Challenge working processes & actively seek new ideas
• Carry out all tasks relating to the warehouse including cover for any absent person
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping

Location: Portslade

Salary: �28,000 - �30,000 per annum
