We are currently recruiting for a global manufacturer of construction equipment. They are one of the most reputable brands in the global construction market.





We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to join their team in South Wales. Responsible for a team of 10 and reporting directly to the Operations Director you will be responsible for leading the warehouse function.





You will also be tasked to help initiate and lead projects to improve service levels and reduce cost.



You will also be the first point of contact in regards to all logistic topics both internal and external.





Responsibilities:






  • Manage and organise the warehouse team.

  • Identifies needs in terms of staff numbers and responsible for the staff scheduling.

  • Facilities Supervision.

  • Responsible for building maintenance including all equipment (IT, Racks, Lift trucks, etc.).

  • Forwarder Supervision.

  • Daily check of in and outbound shipments and influence if needed.

  • Oversee all deliveries.

  • Identify weak points and find partners which are more suitable.

  • Warehousing Improvement.

  • Challenge As is Operation and develop regular quality checks.

  • Initiate and leads project for operation improvement and cost reduction.

  • Cost Controlling.

  • Built a report or tool in order to monitor and control monthly logistic costs.

  • Budget vs Spending.

  • Rate Negotiation.

  • Negotiate the yearly logistic rates with the different forwarders.

  • Generates solutions based on critical analysis.

  • Sets and maintains focus on the most important work priorities.

  • Ensures problems are resolved by identifying and leveraging team members' capabilities.

  • Collaboratively creates a practice of sharing common goals with others.

  • Actively cooperates with others to achieve common goals.

  • Continuously monitors new trends related to own work area or discipline.





Requirements:






  • Experience in Warehouse Operation.

  • Knowledge about the forwarder market in the UK.

  • Knowledge about custom clearance.

  • Be organized, problem solving minded, flexible, team player, rigorous, be a driver, creative, with attitude & spirit.

  • Very good IT knowledge and computer skills (MS office, Outlook, SAP).

  • Good communication skills.
