At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Warehouse and Logistics Front Line Manager at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site.
The role
As a Warehouse and Logistics Front Line Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, overseeing daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
Day-to-day, you'll provides critical warehousing and distribution outputs to our customer, the Royal Navy, in order to maintain its fleet of warships and submarines.
Oversee daily operations whilst controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals.
Undertake and recognise projects for process improvement within the operation.
This role is full time 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Warehouse and Logistics Front Line Manager
Ability to pro-actively engage with customers and stakeholders.
Ability to interpret data to drive business decisions.
Someone who supports their team in their personal development journey and promotes learning culture.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate and confident in the use of technology and IT systems, including a high degree of knowledge of MS Office.
Qualifications for the Warehouse and Logistics Front Line Manager
Level 3 qualification in Warehouse and Distribution - Desirable.
Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) UK.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
