Overview:
Compass Associates is thrilled to be working in partnership with one of the UK's leading providers of private Mental Health and Wellbeing services. Together we are actively headhunting for a seasoned leader in Mental Health settings to join them as a Ward Manager for an Adult Eating Disorder Unit within their flagship hospital service in the Putney area of Southwest London.
In your role as the Ward Manager for this Eating Disorder Unit, you will play a vital role within the senior management team of the hospital. This team comprises other Ward Managers, the Hospital Director, Associate Director of Nursing and Quality, and Director of Clinical Services. Therefore, it's essential for you to serve as a prominent role model, mentor, and leader to the broader MDT. Your aim should be to cultivate a culture that fosters learning, growth, and professionalism, all the while recognising both collective and individual accomplishments across your ward.
Your responsibility will involve efficiently managing the ward and its resources. This entails ensuring optimal efficiency, including appropriate staffing levels with a diverse range of nursing experiences. You'll oversee rota management, handle sickness and absence management, as well as manage annual leave effectively.
You'll be tasked with ensuring that all members of the nursing team, including the lead nurse, receive essential clinical supervision, appraisals, and fulfil their CPD requirements. Additionally, you'll oversee that they complete all mandatory training, both internal and external, as per requirements.
Requirements:
Valid NMC or HCPC registration as a RMN/RNLD/ RGN nurse or Occupational Therapist
Experience of working in a leadership capacity in an inpatient Mental Health setting
Clear DBS
Minimum of 3 years' post qualification experience
Salary and Benefits:
Salary of between £48,630 - £54,851 (DOE)
£5,000 Welcome Bonus
Monday - Friday working pattern.
33 days annul leave inclusive of bank holidays.
Additional day off for your birthday
Supplemented meals on shift
