We are looking for a flexible, friendly and hardworking individual to join our team of maternity ward clerks.Welcoming patients and members of the public to the ward area and responding to queries that arise or referring to relevant Midwifery personnel.To answer the ward telephone and ensure that information is correctly handled and disseminated appropriately.To ensure the Patient Administration System is kept up-to-date and reflects patients currently on the ward/in the area and also matches the patient board; including consultant/speciality transfers.To ensure that all of the relevant documentation (front sheet and patient labels) are printed and copies are available in the notes for every patient.In line with the Trusts' Medical Records Policy, ensure that all filing is kept up to date and sent back to the Medical Records Department for filingAbout usHere at George Eliot our vision to'excel at patient care'takes centre stage.
