You will join an established but ever-growing team at an exciting time within our Corporate Services Function.Day to day, you'll manage and maintain the group wide Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop (CVAD) estate, encompassing life cycle of core CVAD infrastructure systems including testing, upgrades, installation, monitoring and reporting. As well as maintaining and monitoring the group wide VDI infrastructure, CVAD, PVS and NetScaler platforms. You will provide 24/7 on- call support for the VDI Services, Further responsibilities include:Application deployment, testing and support across multiple Citrix infrastructures and security zonesGroup Policy creation and maintenanceAdvanced troubleshooting fault diagnosisPowerShell scripting and administrationProviding assistance to fellow CS members within the 1st and 2nd line teamsThis role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, you will be expected to be on-call one week out of four.Essential experience of the VDI Engineer:You will be able to demonstrate experience within a 2nd or 3rd line support role working withing a large estate with associated technologies in a BAU support and project capacityMust have a solid foundation in Microsoft technologies covering testing, documentation and installation through all troubleshooting aspectsUnderstanding of future client technologies including virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and Windows as a Service (WaaS)Experience in design, implementation, maintenance and disaster recovery for large environmentsTechnical Knowledge of Citrix CVAD, Citrix Director, Storefront, PVS, Studio and Netscaler ADCQualifications for the VDI Engineer :Being Microsoft Certified would be desirableBeing a Citrix Certified Administrator CCA-V, CCP- or CCE-V would be desirableThe successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.Our BenefitsGenerous holiday allowance Contributory Pension scheme, with life assuranceEmployee share schemeEmployee shopping savings portalPayment of Professional FeesReservists in the armed forces receive 10-days special paid leaveHoliday Trading is a benefit that allows most employees to buy additional leave or to sell up to one working week of annual leave from their annual entitlement'Be Kind Day' enables employees to take one working day's paid leave a year (or equivalent hours) to undertake volunteering work with their chosen organisation or registered charityBabcock International For over a century Babcock International have helped to defend nations, protect communities, and build a better world.
