Content Chemistry Ltd is a film, video and animation company based in Cheadle Hulme specialising in translating scientific or technical messaging into visually engaging content for integrated marketing communications campaigns. We create videos and rich media assets to bring stories to life, whether it be reporting from a medical congress, explaining the science behind a product/brand, or sharing a patient/customer experience.
Our content can be as quick as video captured on mobile phones for social media distribution, elevated by our in-house animation team all the way through to live action and studio-captured IMAX-sized event openers, and everything in between.
Role Description
The role of Production Manager will support the business both operationally and with hands-on project management as outlined below. This role reports to the Senior Production Manager and is supported by the Production Administrator, forming the central role within Production — a fundamental part of our business.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is managing resources and scheduling across all projects
Long-term forecasting and short-term proactive and reactive project planning
Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with often fast turnaround projects, high-profile, confidential work along with multiple international projects, including key medical congresses throughout the year
Managing decisions concerning staffing, suppliers and freelancers, with support from the SLT and Head of Post Production
Solving resource bottlenecks and production problems before they occur with the support from the Production Administrator who will assist with pencilling, confirming and releasing of freelancers as required to ensure time is managed for each project effectively and economically
Liaising with film crew and external suppliers in order to keep projects resourced appropriately and kept on track, with support from the Production Administrator on a day-to-day basis
Making sure projects are set-up and running each day, with the team supported with the appropriate resource in place as planned
Ensuring our clients receive our established, high-class service by being proactive with budget and schedule tracking, reporting and project consolidations
Sign-off on supplier and freelancer paperwork, implemented by the Production Administrator
Managing production library licensing to ensure accurate levels of licenses are in place across each of our projects, or at a blanket annual level, for music, graphics, archive and stock
Ensuring our team archive projects post-delivery, with support from the Production Administrator, to ensure footage, music, graphic licenses and all assets are documented and filed
Work Pattern and Specification
The contract will be full-time 5 days per week, on a permanent basis
Personal development plan with a performance-driven bonus structure
The role will be based at our offices in Cheadle Hulme, with a minimum of two days in the office per week with additional days during busy periods.
Equipment and training on our systems will be provided
Start Date
We are looking for July 2024 start
Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of video and animation production
Background in post-production management
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and and understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud
Strong organisational and project management skills
Fantastic communication and collaboration skills
Skilled at people management across the board
Ability to work independently and in a team
Experience with scientific or technical content is a plus
