Job Description
ABOUT US
Sunday Treat is looking for a talented, driven and ambitious Video Editor to join the team. We produce and make video content for social, online and broadcast for a wealth of clients across consumer and business facing brands.
Our projects range from small scale virtual set-ups to full-scale narrative television commercials and everything in between. We find the fun in every project we do, a special element to elevate it from the crowd, and we optimise all of our content for social first.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for people who are passionate about editing, driving stories and creating bold visuals. Passion and pride in what you do and a discernible talent for weaving narratives is key.
Experience of the video production industry through freelance work or full-time positions is essential. You’ll need to be across all aspects of post-production and have complete oversight of the process from ingestion and assembly to sound mixing, grading and delivery.
You’ll work as part of a wider team and under a creative lead who will help shape and drive a project. Being able to interpret client briefs and receive constructive feedback well is critical. The work we do is varied and can range from online branded content to corporate talking heads and interviews. You'll be expected to pull at narrative threads and add creative touches that will elevate content in unique ways.
Applicants will need to be organised and efficient at time management. This is a highly reactive industry and turnaround can often be tight.
We have a workspace in White City, London which you would be required to work from twice a week with the remaining time spent home working or coming to shoots. These days change depending on shoots and other commitments for the team.Ideally applicants would be within commuting distance of London.
Whilst the majority of this role will be editing video projects from start to finish, there are also opportunities for content production and assisting on shoots We’re a tight knit team and there are plenty of opportunities for cross collaboration within other departments and getting creative with the team.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work as part of the post-production team in crafting edits and creating stories.
Shared management and responsibility for the Sunday Treat NAS server including file management and archiving of completed projects.
Attendance of shoots both to assist the camera and lighting teams and undertake the role of DIT.
Ability to share in tasks that help the wider team when required too.
Ability to create and work with basic After Effect motion graphics files.
ESSENTIAL
Full and comprehensive knowledge of the post-production process on a technical and creative level.
Full knowledge of Abobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects as well as basic knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
2+ years of relevant production experience.
Be a confident Mac user.
Ability to work, brief and collaborate with Freelance editors and motion graphics artists.
Experience in understanding project briefs and interpreting client feedback.
Ability to work across Google Workspace, Slack and Monday.com
Great communication and email skills.
Live within commuting distance of White City, London
Be a proactive problem solver and lover of technical troubleshooting.
Eagerness to work across different departments and briefs when required.
DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
Agency experience
A passion for comedy editing
Have an interest in content creation for our social media channels.
Have an interest and skill for photography for BTS and company content.
Knowledge and skill in basic camera operating.
Experience and knowledge of working with Sony FX, FS and Alpha series cameras.

Stage 1
Along with your CV, you will be required to submit a short video message explaining why you feel you are right for the role. More information will be provided for successful stage-1 applications.
Stage 2
We ask applicants to come to the Sunday Treat offices for an in-person interview and short edit task. We are able to provide an M1 Macbook Pro for this task but you are welcome to use your own equipment - we recommend you use whatever you feel will be most efficient but the Sunday Treat team exclusively use Mac’s for editing.
Salary dependent on experience.
