This role is ideal for someone who thrives in managing the flow of A/V, digital, and other assets throughout the entire workflow—from inception through to final archive and delivery. If you are passionate about repurposing content and enhancing video channels, we want you on board!As a Video Assets Manager, you will;
Develop and implement strategies for digital asset management, including procedures for asset creation, storage, retrieval, and archiving.
Oversee the daily operations of the DAM system, ensuring its effective selection, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades.
Catalogue and manage metadata, ensuring all digital assets are tagged accurately and are easily retrievable.
Facilitate the distribution and sharing of digital assets across departments and with external partners.
Monitor and manage user rights and permissions for digital assets to ensure compliance and regulated use.
Provide training and support to DAM system users to maximise their proficiency.
Ensure the quality control of all digital assets, including reviewing, editing, and approving content prior to addition to the DAM system.
Implement and manage archival workflows and asset performance analysis to optimise efficiency.
Generate reports and analytics to monitor asset usage and performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate closely with various departments to understand and meet their digital asset needs.
Proven experience as a Digital Assets Manager, particularly within the video, media and content marketing sectors.
Expert knowledge of video, audio, and image encoding formats, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in digital asset management platforms and familiarity with related software.
Strong understanding of metadata management, digital media formats, and technical troubleshooting.
Ability to perform data analysis and use reporting tools to track asset usage and metrics.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of training and interacting with team members across various departments.
Strong analytical skills, with a competence for asset performance analysis and workflow optimisation.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of video editing tools like Premiere is a plus.
Understanding of market trends in digital asset management technologies and practices.
Awareness of video content and technical format best practice on all video platforms
