This means investing in talent, technologies, and tools that empower you to own your career.Join MUFG, where being inspired is expected and making a meaningful impact is rewarded.OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTIONRPG/EFE are focused on offering clients (internal and external) financing solutions using Repo, SBL or TRS across all asset classesNUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTSZeroMAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Trading role with a main focus supporting the primary trader in Equity FinancingDaily pricing and execution of trades versus TRS/SBL/REPOWorking closely with the Equities Derivatives team for their sourcing and funding needsUnderlying coverage including European, North American and Japanese securitiesSupport the team in sales and on-boarding processManage and mitigate key operational trading risksGood cultural fit essential as working in a small trading team with a broad mandate trading a global book so candidate needs to be proactive, resilient, collegiate and good at engaging with all key stakeholders around the bank such as Management, OPS, Risk, and FinanceTechnically proficient with a good understanding of the technical aspects of Securities Lending (including repo), balance sheet management, collateral management including pertinent regulatory, operational and tax considerationsKEY RESPONSIBILITIESTrading total return swaps (TRS) single names and baskets and SBL.Generating collateral or utilizing firm collateral via TRS/SBL in multiple currenciesBuild and maintain client trading relationshipsSupport and collaborate on Equity financing strategies with Equity DerivativesEfficient risk management of all lifecycle events in TRS and SBLOversee operational elements of the book, liaising closely with middle and back office to resolve any issues and implement process and platform enhancementsLiaise closely with support functions (Compliance/Finance/Risk) on position reporting and analysisWORK EXPERIENCEEssential:4-6y experience trading SBL/TRS and resource management core expertise in Equity FinancingGood knowledge of SBL/TRS and resource management (Capital, Balance Sheet, Unsecured Funding)Current working knowledge of latest industry initiatives impacting equity derivatives and SBL (e.g. MIFID II, IBOR decommissioning, CSDR)Preferred:Trading experience in Equity TRS or TRF and listed/OTC Futures.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEFunctional / Technical Competencies:EssentialProficiency in all aspects of trading SBL and Collateral Swaps from execution though all lifecycle eventsProficiency in all aspects of trading TRS from execution though all lifecycle eventsDirect exposure to Agent Lenders, Broker/Dealer and Real Money accountsEntrepreneurial problem-solving mindset, able to self-generate flowsTechnical proficiency in use of trading platforms e.g. Bbg/ApexPreferredProficiency in equity financing strategiesProficiency in other listed or OTC derivative financing strategiesWorking knowledge of regulatory metrics including LCR, NSFR etc.Education / Qualifications:EssentialDegree from top-tier institutionRegulatory (FCA) CertificationPreferredFurther professional qualifications (Masters/CFA/CQF) an advantagePERSONAL REQUIREMENTSExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, collegiate attitudeSelf-motivated and entrepreneurial outlookStrong decision making skills with a structured and logical approach to workThe ability to operate with urgency, manage large workloads, tight deadlines, and prioritise accordinglyStrong numerical and problem solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy, results driven with a strong sense of accountabilityExcellent Microsoft Office skillsPERFORMANCE AND DUTIESThe role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity’s performance framework and process with relevant input obtained from the dual hatting entity as relevant.As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and emended in consultation with the role holder.
