This role has a broad and varied remit and the successfulcandidate will have responsibility for duties including:Technicalcustomer service:Handle technical enquiries in a timely,efficient, knowledgeable, documented, industry compliant and courteousmanner to provide an excellent level of technical customerservice.Marketing support:Provide technicalsupport to the Marketing team to ensure that strategy, tactics andmarketing materials are relevant, technically accurate, industrycompliant and address UK veterinary market requirements.To includetechnical review, recommendation and copy writing.Participate in atherapy area cross-functional team (consisting of representatives fromMarketing, Sales and Technical) and play an active role in preparingfor, delivering and providing post-launch support to marketingcampaigns.Sales support:Present at CPD meetingsfor veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and veterinary students,delivering both technical and commercial messages.Present technicalinformation to key customers and universities as required.Work closelywith the Sales team to develop technical support plans for keypractices and accounts that will support the achievement of agreedobjectives.Training:Provide technical training onexisting Dechra products, new products, or new indications to ensurethat Dechra staff have sound product understanding.To include'in-field' training, coaching and support whereappropriate.Develop and maintain a UK and Ireland industryand market presence:Provide technical support at industrycongresses, exhibitions and CPD events.Liaise with key customers,universities, competitor companies and commercial partners.Developlong-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with key opinionleaders.Other:Completion of regular and any ad-hocadministration tasks in a concise, accurate, timely and informativemanner. To include production of a monthly summary of key activitiesfor use by the Technical Services Manager when compiling the UKCountry Leadership Team Report so that the value of the VTS team tothe business is visible and key technical issues arehighlighted.Develop and maintain knowledge of internal IT systemsincluding technical server, Pharma Technical Database and PV Works toensure that systems are up-to-date, accurate and organised, and thatdata can be easily extracted.The Veterinary Technical Advisor may berequired to undertake additional duties in line with business needs atthe discretion of the Technical Services Manager and UK CountryLeadership Team. This may involve out of office activities to include(but not exclusive to) working at alternative sites, attending companymeetings and attending congresses.Ideal CandidateHere atDechra we pride ourselves on being an inclusive employer and weembrace candidates from all walks of life.
