Veterinary Surgeon

Mixed veterinary surgeon required to join our independent practice, we are focussed on quality care for our patients and clients. Workload is 80% small animal and 20% large animal (no equine)We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in mixed practice.Our farm and small animal clients are very supportive, we are a traditional rural practice with modern equipment. We are a supportive practice for new graduates who are hard working and keen to learn and improve their existing skills.The PracticeWe are a friendly practice situated in a rural area of Ayrshire. We have one RVN, one trainee animal nursing assistant and two receptionists.The practice has the normal pieces of equipment including, DR x-ray machine, haematology, biochemistry and ultrasound.LocationEast Ayrshire – we are half an hour from the south side of Glasgow and one and a half hr drive to the city of Edinburgh. The practice is situated in a rural area with lovely dog walks, we are half an hr drive to Ayr, Prestwick and Troon beach.We are also located near some lovely estates such as Dumfries House.The RoleWe are looking for someone who can work independently with confidence, who is keen on medical and surgical cases, with an interest and willingness to work with large animals.Successful CandidateThe successful candidate would be someone who is caring and a team player, with a good work ethic and excellent communication skills, the candidate must have a good sense of humour and willing to engage in all areas of small animal practice.The Package1 in 3 weekends with Saturday morning consultsOOH rota shared amongst 3 vetsSalary ranges from £30,000 to £50,000 based on experienceTo submit your application click the apply button.Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required
