Vets for Pets Huntingdon is a locally owned practice and we are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our inclusive, forward thinking team.A bit more about usWe’re a busy first opinion veterinary practice who pride ourselves on providing the best care possible to each individual patient.
Our practice is owned by three JVPs, Vet Sandy and RVNs Leanne and Amy. Our core members of our team have been with a number of years creating a friendly, close-knit feeling to our practice. The team comprises of supportive experienced vets including a surgery cert holder with a strong RVN to vet ratio, 2 VCA’s and a dedicated reception team. Our nurses pick up schedule three procedures and consults allowing our vets to concentrate on their cases and work-ups.In addition to certificates held within the team we welcome a visiting orthopaedic surgeon and cardiologist. This, and the fact we have a high rate of insured clients, means we keep a lot of our work-ups in house. Where we do refer we generally use Dick White referrals and they are really supportive should you require advice on cases. We have a subscription to Vet CT and if you are working sole charge Sandy is always on the end of the phone should you need advice on a case. Our OOH provider, Village Vets are also really helpful in providing advice and support when it comes to refer cases overnight or at the weekend. We’re based in a great spot for commuting with London and Cambridge both easily accessible via public transport and the A14/A1 if travelling by road. About youOur missing puzzle piece will be a Vet with ideally at least 1 year’s clinical experience, happy with routine presentations looking to progress in a busy and supportive general practice and passionate about providing high levels of client/patient care. Work-Life balance and enjoying where you work is incredibly important to us, so finding a work pattern and environment to fit your needs is imperative. We offer flexible rota’s which can be tailored to your out of work commitments and include options such as late starts, longer lunch breaks or split shifts, early finishes, and different combinations of days per week.
