Veterinary Surgeon

Poole Vets for Pets is a well-established practice on the south coast, partner owned for 20 years; flourishing with a wide variety of interesting medical and surgical cases, a fantastic well-established team and great clients, we’re now looking for another veterinary surgeon to join our wonderful team.
You will be joining an exceptional team lead by our Practice Owner and Practice Manager Gemma who is also our resident Mental Health First Aider and Practice Owner and Veterinary Surgeon Dan Makin, who is an Advanced Practitioner in small animal medicine. You will also be working with and have the full support of our experienced Head Vet and fellow vets alongside an incredible nursing team including nurses who undertake schedule 3 procedures, some of whom have over 20 years’ experience!
Our vet team hold regular meetings and we structure our days clearly taking 20 minutes for consults and to ensure there is also time to catch up on admin, allow for breaks and look after ourselves as well as the patients in our care.

Ideally this is a full-time role with part time also considered, with a shared weekend rota, Saturday only from 8:30am until 4:00pm with no Sunday’s and no OOH.
In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for a colleague with solid GP experience, a team player with great communication skills and someone who shares our passion for providing the highest level of veterinary care.
