Ideally you may have some experience, so someone who may have been looking to move from their first practice since graduating or someone who is looking to expand their experience of small animal practice to include leadership - whatever it may be, they have a role for you. They encourage their staff to develop their specific interests and will support you every step of the way, including the study to certificate level.They can offer flexible working patterns that flex with you and your lifestyle. Whether you are looking to flex your rota hours to balance the school holidays, fix to navigate the school runs or just looking to strike that balance between home and work life, they can offer flexibility that actually works for you. The ideal candidate will work four days a week from 8:30am - 6:30pm with 1 in 6 Saturday mornings from 9am - 12pm. If any inpatients require to be cared for over the weekend, the vet is responsible for transferring these to the out of hours provider after consults, although this happens infrequently. There are no OOHs or bank holiday shifts. The diary is a mixture of operating and consulting time between the main branch in Holt with a couple of half days at the nearby smaller branch. This is sole charge consulting only. They are a team of 4 vets who are supported by a couple of wonderful regular locums, so the permanent staff can take their annual leave and you are allowed to work at a sensible pace. If you have an interest in a particular veterinary area, they will endeavour to ensure you are given the support and funding to pursue those interests. They are always happy to share our knowledge and expertise. The nursing team consists of 7 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 2 ANAs, all of whom are dedicated to patient care and work to support the vets, including undertaking consultations. They benefit from RVNs with special interests in canine and feline behaviour/medicine, ECC and breeding. The practice is surrounded by scenic countryside with the Broads National Park just 20 minutes away, so whether you fancy a walk through woodland, sitting on the beach and watching the seal colonies, or taking part in a variety of water sports and outdoor activities, there is plenty to do in your spare time.
